Water points: water, cola, isotonic drink.

Feed zones:  water, cola, isotonic drink, 226ERS product, banana, orange, gummies, nuts, olives, guayaba (all gluten-free), hazelnut and cocoa spread sandwich, peanut butter sandwich.

Arrival feed zone: water, cola, isotonic drink, beer, coffee, banana, orange, gummies, nuts, olives, potato omelette, hard-boiled eggs (all gluten-free), paella, bread, sweet pastries.

Gravel Desert is fast, demanding and exposed.

Expect:

  • Hardpack grave
  • Long straight sections with constant pedalling
  • Loose corners and dusty sectors
  • Strong winds depending on the day

Recommended setup:

  • Tires: 40–45 mm fast rolling gravel
  • Gearing: 1x or 2x gravel setup (wide range ideal for Santa Quiteria)
  • Hydration: extra bottles or hydration pack due to dryness
  • Sunglasses and sun protection seriously recommended

This is a route about rhythm, stamina and handling — a true desert flow.
