Arrival feed zone: water, cola, isotonic drink, beer, coffee, banana, orange, gummies, nuts, olives, potato omelette, hard-boiled eggs (all gluten-free), paella, bread, sweet pastries.
Gravel Desert is fast, demanding and exposed.
Expect:
- Hardpack grave
- Long straight sections with constant pedalling
- Loose corners and dusty sectors
- Strong winds depending on the day
Recommended setup:
- Tires: 40–45 mm fast rolling gravel
- Gearing: 1x or 2x gravel setup (wide range ideal for Santa Quiteria)
- Hydration: extra bottles or hydration pack due to dryness
- Sunglasses and sun protection seriously recommended
This is a route about rhythm, stamina and handling — a true desert flow.
